A mid-tier 46-inch riding tractor with smooth pedal-controlled hydrostatic drive, a powerful Briggs & Stratton engine and a wide deck sized for yards up to 2 acres.
⚠ Operator Safety Read the manufacturer’s operator manual before use.
The Craftsman T2400 hits the sweet spot for most American backyards: a 46-inch deck with hydrostatic transmission, comfortable enough for a long mow but compact enough to maneuver around trees and landscape beds. Hydrostatic drive means no clutch, no shifting and no jerky stops — push a single foot pedal forward to go, ease off to slow, push the heel pedal to reverse. The drive system makes the mower feel less like equipment and more like a vehicle.
The 46-inch twin-blade fabricated deck delivers a clean, even cut across roughly an acre and a half of yard work in well under an hour. Twelve cut-height positions give you precise control between 1.5 and 4 inches, so you can dial in seasonal height without guessing. A high-back operator seat, soft-touch steering wheel, easy-reach control panel and headlights make long mows comfortable, including dusk and early morning.
Powered by a Briggs & Stratton single-cylinder OHV engine and protected by Craftsman’s 2-year limited warranty, the T2400 is engineered for years of weekly cutting on properties up to two acres. A mulch kit and rear bagger system are available as optional add-ons.
