A residential zero-turn with a 50-inch heavy-duty AeroForce fabricated deck, 25 HP Kohler 7000 Series V-Twin engine and dual hydrostatic transmissions for sharp 0° turning.
⚠ Operator Safety Read the manufacturer’s operator manual before use.
The Cub Cadet Ultima ZT1-50 is the model of choice for homeowners who are tired of giving up forty-five minutes per pass to a slow tractor. Zero-turn geometry pivots the mower around its own footprint, so trimming around trees, garden beds, mailbox posts and play structures takes seconds instead of minutes — and the 50-inch deck still finishes 2–4 acre lawns in well under an hour.
Power comes from a Kohler 7000 Series 25 HP V-Twin OHV engine, paired with dual EZT-2200 commercial-grade hydrostatic transmissions. The two transmissions independently drive the rear wheels — the lap bars you steer with are simply directing each one — which is how zero-turn mowers achieve their characteristic on-a-dime maneuverability.
The 50-inch AeroForce™ fabricated deck is a step up from stamped decks: heavier-gauge welded steel, deeper cutting chamber and improved blade airflow for cleaner discharge and better mulching. The high-back seat with arm rests, dual cup holders and rubberized foot platform make long mows comfortable, and the mower is bagger- and mulch-kit compatible.
Backed by Cub Cadet’s 3-year unlimited-hours residential warranty, the ZT1-50 is a true upgrade pick for users moving from a lawn tractor to a zero-turn.
