A 16 ft × 12 ft modern steel pergola with a sleek matte black finish, integrated PowerPort™, UV-protected shade sail and PRO-TECT™ certification rated for winds up to 100 mph.
The Backyard Discovery Trenton brings sharp, modern lines to the backyard while delivering the kind of structural performance most pergolas only hint at. Engineered from premium galvanized steel and finished in a clean matte black, the Trenton is PRO-TECT™ Tested & Proven against wind speeds up to 100 mph — making it one of the most weather-capable residential pergolas in its class.
The 16-foot by 12-foot footprint creates a generous covered zone above patios, hot tubs, dining sets or outdoor lounges. Heavy-duty posts seat onto concealed anchor plates that lock the pergola down without exposed brackets, keeping the silhouette uncluttered and architectural from every angle. Galvanized steel will not warp, rot or splinter the way wood can, so the structure stays sharp-looking through hot summers, freezing winters and heavy rain.
Functionality is built directly into the frame. The integrated PowerPort™ supplies three outdoor outlets for string lights, speakers or appliances (a separate power feed is required). Overhead, a UV-protected, breathable shade sail filters direct sunlight while still letting air move freely.
Assembly uses pre-drilled components, labeled hardware and an illustrated guide; a two-person team can usually finish the build over a weekend.
